Leather Care & Breaking In Your Klairr
Cleaning & Care Guide Instructions
NOTE: All shoes should be cleaned and dried as directed before applying any shoe polishes, creams, or stain removers.
DRYING
Allow shoes to dry naturally at room temperature.
Stuff shoes with paper or place on a shoe tree to help maintain their shape.
STORAGE
Store your shoes in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
Stuff the shoes with acid-free tissue paper or a shoe
tree to help maintain their shape and prevent creasing.
CLEANING
Start by gently removing any dirt or dust from the surface of the shoes using a cloth.
Rub shoes gently with a damp cloth, using lukewarm water and mild soap.
Wipe off the excess and allow the shoes to air dry naturally.
CONDITIONING
Apply a small amount of cow leather conditioner to a soft cloth or sponge and massage it evenly in circular motions.
Allow the conditioner to penetrate the leather for a few min-utes, then wipe off any excess with a clean cloth.
PATENT LEATHER, CANVAS, AND FABRICS
Rub shoes gently with a damp cloth, using luke-warm water and mild soap.
Insole Comfort Tip ↓
To avoid deep creasing at the spot where our feet naturally bend, it is recommended to add insoles if there is space on the shoes' roof.
Insoles can help fill the space, providing extra support and preventing the shoes from folding excessively.
New shoes can feel tight at first. Here’s how you can break them in gently ↓
1. Crumpled paper or rolled socks - Cheapest trick. Just stuff the toe box with it and let it help soften the leather. (Works as a storage hack too!)
2. Shoe tree - Helps stretch gently and works as a storage hack too para ma-maintain ‘yung shape.
3. Shoe stretcher - Perfect for pairs that need serious stretching sa length and width.
PS: When using a shoe tree or stretcher, avoid overstretching to protect the leather. 🫶🏽
